“This album is a collection of live performances from the Quincy Jones Performance Center and the Garfield High School Band Room. Every song was recorded in a single take with no overdubbing or editing. Each selection represents the spirit and energy that defines the unique sound of Garfield Jazz. There are recordings from all three of our jazz ensembles levels, ranging 9th to 12th grade, from over a span of five years. The music is presented to the listener as if they were standing directly in front of the band, immersed in the sound and excitement of live performance. We hope you enjoy it.
