Beer Built On Big Dreams.
Our mission is to brew damn good beer and build stronger community to inspire bigger dreams for all.
MBC and the community
Metier Brewing Company (MBC) is a purpose-driven, Black-owned craft brewery—and we believe in representation. That means we are intentional about every aspect of our community and running a business rooted in values we take seriously: inclusion, access, compassion, and excellence. Through strategic partnerships and collaborations as well as our intentional sourcing of art, goods, and services from BIPOC and women business owners and artists, we amplify and strive to make good on our mission.
We are a brewery and a deeply inclusive space that makes room for everyone who walks through our doors. With every pint, can, or bottle, we deliver a little of the MBC experience our customers know and love.
Brewing with purpose
It starts with big dreams and damn good beer
With three distinct locations in and around Seattle, it’s easy to make Métier a part of your life — and we hope you will. Visit our beer production hub in Woodinville’s Artisan Hill District, just off the Burke-Gilman and Sammamish trails. Catch us at our flagship taproom in the heart of the Central District, Seattle’s historic and still-thriving Black neighborhood. And before or after the next ball game, stop by our boutique brewpub in SODO — it’s called Steelheads Alley, our homage to Seattle’s Negro league baseball team. At MBC, we brew with a firm commitment to craft and we don’t compromise on the damn good beer, the bigger dreams we hope to inspire, and the community we strive to nurture. Our award-winning beers can be found in grocery stores, restaurants, and bars throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Crisp, citrusy, piney, and zero-proof
Sparkling Hop Water
Brewed with Chinook hops, MBC’s Sparkling Hop Water has smokey earthiness that blends beautifully with a juniper berry, citrusy finish. Just released in a convenient 8 oz. can, this light, refreshingly hoppy beverage is a customer favorite. For beer drinkers and non-beer drinkers alike, our new Sparkling Hop Water offers a light, refreshing, and non-alcoholic alternative to beer. Learn More.
MBC seems to be challenging the idea of what a ‘traditional brewery’ is. They are considering the flavor and sensibility not only in what they craft, but they’re also making sure that every beverage and person has a place at the table. With their new Hop Water, MBC is giving us a refreshing challenge to convention.
