Seattle top chef Kristi Brown opens second restaurant

James Beard Award-nominated chef Kristi Brown of Seattle’s acclaimed Communion has opened a second Central District restaurant: Lil’ Brown Girl, a counter-service spot ensconced in the bright, high-ceilinged Cherry Street taproom of Métier Brewing Co.
The collaboration brings two of the city’s beloved Black-owned food-and-beverage enterprises together, while bringing the city more of Brown’s vaunted “Seattle soul” cuisine, including the Luther Vandross chicken sandwich along with twice-fried jojos, her famed black-eyed-pea hummus and more — with Métier beer pairings to match.
