James Beard-Nominated Chef Brings Communion’s Soul Food To Lil’ Brown Girl

Tired of striking out for reservations at Communion? We have good news for you.

The Central District restaurant Communion is often included on locals’ best Seattle restaurants lists, and chef Kristi Brown has been nominated for a James Beard award. All that acclaim can make it hard to get a table. Now you can get a bite of Brown’s soul food without the wait!

Black-owned brewery Métier Brewing Company has teamed up with Communion chef Kristi Brown to provide a quick-service restaurant inside their Cherry Street taproom called Lil’ Brown Girl. The collaboration is a bit of a no-brainer, as Communion has always only carried Métier beer and both are Black-owned businesses located in Seattle’s Central District.
