Our warehouse space consists of a cozy taproom, an open view brewhouse, and a huge event space. Coming soon, Cherry Street, Seattle.
What we’re looking for:
At Metier Brewing Co., we believe that the taproom will be a key part of our success as it will likely be the first experience consumers have with our brand. The Taproom Manager will be responsible for making the taproom experience nothing short of exceptional.
The Taproom Manager ensures smooth operation of the taproom by making sure that the taproom is appropriately staffed, that beer tenders have everything they need to successfully and efficiently complete their tasks, that the taproom environment is comfortable and clean, and that unforeseen needs are addressed quickly. The Taproom Manager is also responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive experience during their visit.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set the daily schedule for taproom employees at minimum of one week in advance and for at least one week out
  • Open and close the taproom (set up and close down cash drawers, ensure that the taproom is clean and ready for patrons, restock and order any necessary supplies)
  • Verify that the beers on tap are ready to serve (right temperature, optimal quality, no off-smells or flavors)
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to support beertenders and ensure that taproom patrons’ needs are met quickly and efficiently
  • Create and maintain a pleasant taproom environment (temperature, music, cleanliness, conduct)
  • Work with management teams to properly market the taproom 
  • Manage  food truck schedule and create and maintain relationships with local food establishments that deliver to the taproom
  • Maintain accurate taproom inventory (glassware, crowlers, merch, etc.)
  • Step in as beer tender and/or beer educator as needed
  • Work towards continuous optimization of taproom operations
  • Serve as team leader to staff
Qualifications:
  • Available to work full-time (40 hrs / week), including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively address problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with a diverse set of people
  • Basic familiarity with tablet-based POS systems and other web-based / MS Office software
  • Ability to lift 35-50 lbs
  • Ability to move full kegs with a dolly
  • Efficient under pressure

Open Position: Beer Tender

What we’re looking for:
We are currently looking for a dynamic, service-minded Beertender who is enthusiastic about the craft beer world and looking for an opportunity to grow with a rising brewery that has big plans for the future. Applicants must have some service industry experience, preferably with beer, and knowledge about different styles of beer. Above all, applicants must be able to provide excellent customer service, have great work ethic, and a positive attitude. We are a team-oriented company and value what everyone has to bring to the table.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and welcome them to the space
  • Interact with guests and develop positive customer relationships. Answer questions and educate guests about Métier Brewing, our beer styles, our mission, and history
  • Experience handling cash and processing transactions through POS
  • Obtain a MAST permit and regularly ID patrons to ensure compliance with the law
  • Promote merchandise, to-go beer, events, and daily specials
  • Complete all paperwork involved in day-to-day operations
  • Maintain comfort and cleanliness throughout the Tap Room, storage areas, cooler, kids play area, and restrooms
  • Attend staff meetings, events, and other functions as needed
  • Work as a team to accomplish daily tasks and opening and closing duties
  • Must be able to work WEEKENDS! We are open Thursday – Sunday
  • Applicants should be of legal drinking age (21 years or older)
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift or move 40 lbs
  • Stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
